Kussmaul

There´s always time for a mother daughter day, so a few days ago my mum and I decided to go out for breakfast, go shopping and just have a stroll through the city, to enjoy one of the last warm days in Vienna.

The Spittelberg in the 7th district is a really cool area and also many other people seem to think that, as this area gets more and more popular. Kussmaul is a restaurant, so mostly know for their lunch and dinner however their breakfast is amazing too. (favourite meal of the day, due to obvious reasons) – Kussmaul Homepage

We sat down in the conservatory style room on that fresh and early morning and ordered our food. I always go for seafood and also in the morning I always fancy some so therefore I certainly ordered a bit of salmon.

Another thing I just have to have in the morning is a soft-boiled egg and at Kussmaul they already do the annoying job of opening it for you, which is really amazing right? As for drinks, I am like the bookshop man from my favourite movie Notting Hill: “Let´s go crazy, I´ll have an orange juice” – Marty

To the boiled egg they added buttery bread sticks to dip into the egg – heavenly, just heavenly

My mum was kind enough to give me her homemade yogurt with berries, which belonged to her breakfast order and it looked a little something like this.

We sat between other breakfast lovers and plants on soft grey cushions, which created such an amazing atmosphere.

As we left and headed to the city centre, we crossed the Burggarten.
